Volunteers Needed:
  • Friendly Visitors: Offer companionship, conversations, and support by visiting one-on-one with a resident.
  • Life Enrichment:  Share your hobbies, interests, or skills by leading a program! Music, dance, and theater performances, informational presentations, activities, games, or classes are all great ways to enrich the lives of residents.
  • Recreation Assistance:  Assist residents with recreational activities like crafts and games. Help transport residents to and from activities while encouraging participation. 
  • Tech Support: Aid residents in setting up Zoom calls or Facetimes with family and keeping them connected to loved ones through Facebook and email.  
  • Pet Visitors:  Put smiles on residents’ faces by bringing in your pet for a visit. Pets must be registered with ESLC and provide vaccination records. 
  • Outing Assistance:  Come along on outings to restaurants and other places. Help keep the group together, open doors, and provide general assistance to the recreation staff.
  • Gardening: Assist in watering plants in residences or help residents plant or maintain a garden at any one of ESLC’s residences. 
  • Photography:  Capture the programs and events hosted in ESLC communities by taking photos and helping to share them with residents’ loved ones.
  • Support Group Facilitator: Provide a supportive and open space where people can share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences alongside others to help them cope with and manage the challenges of dementia. 
  • Alzheimer's and Dementia Educator:  Raise awareness and provide education about Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and brain health by delivering presentations, workshops, and educational sessions to various groups. 

TEENS or Groups of Teens:
  • Life Enrichment 
  • One-time projects like yard work, cleaning, watering plants, coffee hours, ice cream socials, cornhole tournaments, game days, etc.
